The Orthopedic Research & Education Center (OREC) is a member of the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. The OREC Surgical Training Laboratory, renovated and reopened in 2020, is a 1000 sq. ft. bioskills laboratory dedicated to education & practice in healthcare. Our facility also houses a 400 sq. ft. ancillary laboratory fit for additional stations or private, technical practice. The OREC is available for all medical education events, including those outside of the University of Kansas Health System:

The University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) features several auditoriums, classrooms and presentation spaces available for reservation alongside your laboratory event. Gross dissection instrumentation is provided at each station, as well as all necessary personal protective equipment you may need.
